VMware Explore 2026 Registration is Open! Here is why I am attending, and you should too!

In case you were not aware, registration has now opened for this year’s VMware by Broadcom’s Explore conference. Now is the time to register to qualify for the “early bird” discount. I look forward to attending this conference every year for several reasons.

  1. During the keynote each year, there are always new announcements about versions, features, and functionality. This is where you can get the most up to date information. A few years ago, they announced VSAN ESA during the keynote. There was a VSAN session already scheduled post keynote and there was a major line to get in. Basically, if you had not pre-registered for that session, you missed out. Attending is the best way to get the most current news.
  2. Peer-to-Peer, in-person meetings. By attending, you are in an environment with others who run the same infrastructure platform. Sitting down beside a peer in a session, at a meal, or even in the Hub can generate valuable conversations. You may be able to find a unique way to address a problem, find a shortcut to a task that needs to be completed, or discuss an idea for a new feature or function.
  3. VMware Explore is also a great place to gain new skills and abilities. The Hand-On-Labs present an opportunity to learn about products, features, and functions that may not currently be in your environment. They give you the ability to practice working with the various products and features in the VMware Cloud Platform environment. Are you looking to really challenge yourself? Take part in the Odyssey Challenge where you have a chance to compete against your peers in timed challenges and potentially win some great prizes.
  4. Ask the Expert sessions are your opportunity to meet one-on-one with an expert for your specific product or feature. Having a problem getting an answer or solution you need? Wondering about how to best approach a problem or task? Wish you had the opportunity to pick an expert’s brain without having to wait in a call queue? These sessions were designed just for these types of scenarios. This is your chance to schedule a meeting and ask the questions where you need answers.
  5. The Hub and vendor hall is the place when you need to relax, meet with peers, or get information from vendor sponsors. The Hub has snacks, drinks, various seating, and ways to relax. After spending hours jumping between sessions, this is the place to come chill. There are also vendor sponsor booths where you can stop by and get information on various products and services. You never know when a vendor you may not have ever heard of or considered has something that will benefit your environment. Most also offer some cool SWAG you can pick up just for stopping by.

These are just a few of the major reasons you do not want to miss out on this year’s VMware Explore conference. Remember, the conference is once again being held at the Venetian in Las Vegas August 31 – September 3. So, click the link below and register to attend the conference. I look forward to seeing you at this year’s VMware Explore Conference.
